Parents Are Part of the Team

ABA STEPS holds the conviction that support from parents and siblings is crucial for the success of our programs. Consequently, we offer both individual and group parent training sessions that convene monthly. Parental Skills Development sessions are a requirement at our organization.

In the same vein, we recognize sibling support as a vital component of our comprehensive program. We offer group activities for siblings, in addition to family and community-sponsored events.

Common Questions

Whats is ABA and how does it work?

Applied behavior analysis is a scientifically proven therapy based on science learning and behavior.

It provides a methodology to:

  • Track and analyze behaviors and their functions
  • Analyze the most appropriate and least restrictive learning environments
  • Identify the programs best fitted to address the behaviors or skills of concerns

It can help with:

  • Decreasing maladaptive behaviors
  • Developing pivotal skills
  • Improving communication, adaptive, life, focus, attention, memory, social skills, vocational, and much more!

Who does ABA Benefit?

Individuals diagnosed with autism, developmental delays, and other diagnoses (e.g., ADHD, RETTS, ODD, MR, and more) have shown to benefit from ABA therapy.

What is the success rate for ABA STEPS?

The staff at ABA STEPS are proficient in various ABA methodologies, and our BCBAs choose those that best serve each participant. Both our BCBAs and RBTs consistently monitor participants’ progress and maintain regular communication with families.

As a result, many participants of ABA STEPS, LLC, with consistent parent involvement and support, achieve between 60-80% of their initial targeted skills/goals within the first six months. However, it’s important to note that ABA is not a one-size-fits-all solution, and progress may vary. Regardless, participants and their families can trust that our team will diligently assess and identify the program(s) most effective for each individual.

What makes your organization different from others?

Our staff undergoes continuous training throughout the year to enhance their skills and stay updated on effective new methodologies. At ABA STEPS, our BCBAs are readily accessible to both our RBTs and families. This ensures we can address questions, offer recommendations, and implement changes promptly. Moreover, ABA STEPS has fostered an OHANA culture, promoting easy and secure networking within the organization for staff and participants alike.

Furthermore, ABA STEPS equips families and staff with the resources they need to excel. These resources include a HIPAA-compliant database, an extensive inventory of teaching supplies and materials, and a comprehensive learning library.
